PostFriendly: The Content Calendar

The Content Calendar

The calendar is your map of the week and month — every post, scheduled and published, in one place.

How to open it

Click Calendar in the left menu. Default view is the current week.

What the colors mean

  • Blue — scheduled to publish at a specific time.
  • Green — already published. Click to see how it did.
  • Amber — paused. Usually because the channel disconnected. Reconnect and the post resumes.
  • Red — failed to publish. Click for the reason.
  • Grey — draft. Not scheduled yet.

Switch views

  • Week — seven columns, hour by hour.
  • Month — every day of the month, posts shown as small blocks.
  • List — flat list, newest first. Good for searching.

Drag-and-drop reschedule

Grab a blue post with your mouse and drop it on a new day or time. It re-saves automatically. Easy way to fix a clash or move the morning post to the afternoon.

Filter by channel

Click the channel chips above the calendar to hide channels you don't care about right now. Want to see only Instagram? Click everything except Instagram off. Click them back on to restore.

Create from the calendar

Click any empty cell. The composer opens with that time pre-filled. Fastest way to drop a post into a specific slot.

See published posts

A green post on the calendar opens the same view as Analytics for that post. You get the caption, the media, and the numbers — reach, likes, comments, clicks — all on one screen.

Mobile

The calendar works on phones but the List view is easier to use on a small screen. The web app remembers your last view and timezone.
