PostFriendly: Schedule and Use the Queue

Schedule and Use the Queue

There are two ways to put a post on autopilot in PostFriendly: pick an exact time, or drop it into the queue and let your weekly slots handle it.

Schedule for an exact time

Use this when timing matters — a sale that starts at 9 a.m., an event reminder the night before, a holiday post at noon.

  1. In the composer, click Schedule.
  2. Pick a date and time. Times are in your account timezone (set under Settings → Timezone).
  3. Click Schedule.

The post shows up on your calendar in blue. It publishes at that exact minute.

Use the queue

The queue is for evergreen content — things that work any time. Tips, behind-the-scenes shots, customer quotes, your menu of the week.

How it works:

  1. Set your posting slots under Settings → Queue. For example: Mon/Wed/Fri at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  2. In the composer, click Add to queue.
  3. The post drops into the next open slot.

Add ten posts to the queue and PostFriendly will spread them across your slots automatically. No more "what should I post today?"

Reorder the queue

Open Posts → Queue. Drag any post up or down. The slot order shuffles to match.

Pause the queue

Heading on vacation? Going through a busy week? Click Pause queue on the Queue screen. Scheduled (exact-time) posts still go out — only queue posts pause.

Edit a scheduled post

Click the post on the calendar or in the queue. Edit anything — caption, media, time, channels. Save. The change applies wherever the post is going next.

Cancel a scheduled post

Open the post, click Delete. It's gone. It won't publish.

What if my computer is off?

Doesn't matter. Scheduled posts run on PostFriendly's servers. Your laptop, phone, or browser does not need to be on, awake, or even connected.
