PostFriendly: The Asset Library

The Asset Library

Every image, video, and document you upload to PostFriendly is saved in your asset library. Reuse them in future posts instead of re-uploading.

Where it lives

Click Library in the left menu. You see thumbnails of everything you've uploaded, newest first.

Upload

  • Drag files from your desktop into the library, or click Upload.
  • You can upload a whole folder at once.
  • Supported: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, MP4, MOV. Max 100 MB per file.

Organize with folders

Click New folder. Name it — "Spring 2026 campaign", "Product shots", "Customer photos". Drag files into the folder. Folders can be nested if you really need to.

Tag for search

Click any asset, then Add tags. Tags work like keywords — "summer", "outdoor", "team". Type a tag into the search bar to find every asset that has it.

Use an asset in a post

Open the composer, click Media → Library, click the asset. Done — it attaches to the post.

Edit an image

Click an asset, then Edit. Basic tools:

  • Crop to square, 4:5, 16:9, or freeform.
  • Resize to a specific width.
  • Filters — preset color tweaks.
  • Text overlay — add a short headline directly on the image.

Save creates a new asset (original stays intact).

Replace

To swap an asset everywhere it appears in scheduled posts, click Replace. Upload the new file. Every scheduled post using the old asset switches to the new one.

Delete

Click an asset, then Delete. PostFriendly warns you if any scheduled posts use it — those posts will publish without an image unless you replace it.

Storage limits

Each plan has a storage cap (shown at the bottom of the Library screen). When you get close, delete old assets you no longer need. Deleted assets are recoverable from Trash for 30 days.

Shared library

Team members see the same library. If your designer uploads ten new banners, your social manager sees them instantly.
