Table Device
What you will learn: how to deploy DineNGo at the table — either as a permanent device sitting on the table or as a QR code printed on the table tent.
When to use the table device
- Full-service restaurants — guests order multiple courses, want to add to the check, and pay when ready.
- Fast-casual with table service — guests sit down, are handed a device, and order without standing in a line.
- Bars and lounges — repeat orders and tab management.
Permanent table device
A small Android tablet sits on the table. Pair it once and assign it to a table number.
- Admin → Devices → + Add Device → Table.
- Set the Table number (e.g. Table 7) and an optional zone (Patio, Bar, Main Floor).
- A pairing code appears.
- On the tablet, open DineNGo → Pair, enter the code.

The device now belongs to that table. Guests open the menu, build the cart, and place the order. The server can also use the device to fire additional rounds or close the check.

QR ordering (no device on the table)
If you do not want hardware on the table, print a QR code on the table tent. The guest scans with their phone, lands on a branded ordering page, and orders without installing anything.
- Admin → Devices → + Add Device → QR.
- Set the Table number and zone.
- Click Print Tent Card — DineNGo generates a print-ready PDF with the QR, your logo, and the table number.

The QR is signed and scoped to that table, so a guest at Table 7 always orders to Table 7 — no manual table picker.
Tabs and rounds
The table device (and QR page) supports adding to an open check:
- Guests tap Add to order to fire another round to the kitchen.
- Each round prints a fresh ticket to the KDS; the running check accumulates on the table device.
- Tapping Close out moves the check to payment; the guest pays on the device, the server pockets the tip, or both.
Closing the table
After payment, the server (or guest) taps Close Table. The device returns to the welcome screen, ready for the next party. The check shows up in the admin Orders view as Paid – Closed.
Server-assisted ordering
A server can use the table device on the guest's behalf. Tap the staff icon, enter the staff PIN, and the device switches to a server view that lets the staff member apply discounts, comp items, or split the check.
