Rewards and Promotions
What you will learn: how DineNGo handles guest loyalty, points, and promo codes — what is live today and what is on the roadmap.
Status note. The rewards and promotions admin screens are in active development. The customer-facing rewards device (a paired tablet that captures sign-ups at the counter) is shipping today; the deeper merchant-admin configuration UI is rolling out in 2026. This doc reflects the current state. If a screenshot is missing below, the underlying screen is still being built — please ask your DineNGo contact for the latest.
What is live today
Rewards device
A paired tablet on the counter that captures guest sign-ups:
- Guest taps Join, types their phone number, gets a one-time code by SMS, confirms.
- The guest is enrolled. From now on, when their phone number is entered at the cashier or kiosk, points accumulate and rewards apply automatically.
- The rewards device shows total guests enrolled and recent sign-ups so staff has a tangible reason to keep prompting customers.
Pair it the same way as a kiosk:
- Admin → Devices → + Add Device → Rewards.
- Pairing code → on the tablet, DineNGo → Pair, enter the code.
Points-per-dollar
Configure the base earn rate at Settings → Rewards → Earn Rate. A typical rate is one point per dollar spent. Points round down per transaction.
Reward thresholds
A reward threshold is a point balance that unlocks a discount or a free item. Example: 100 points unlocks a free side. Configure in Settings → Rewards → Thresholds.
When a guest's balance is at or above a threshold, the cashier and kiosk show the redemption option on the tender screen.
Promo codes
A promo code is a string the guest enters at checkout (kiosk, QR, table) or that the cashier punches in:
- Percent-off — 15% off the order.
- Dollar-off — $5 off when total is over $25.
- Free item — free fries with any sandwich.
- BOGO — buy one entrée get the second 50% off.
Set up codes at Settings → Promotions → Codes, with optional start and end dates and a usage cap per code or per guest.
Coming soon
- Segmented campaigns (target lapsed guests with an automatic SMS).
- Per-item bonuses (3x points on a Tuesday-special item).
- Birthday and anniversary auto-promos.
- Tiered loyalty (Silver / Gold / Platinum) with escalating benefits.
If any of these are important to your launch, talk to your DineNGo contact about the timeline; some are already in the beta program.
Reporting on rewards
Even with the deeper admin still in development, you can already see:
- Reports → Sales by Staff filtered to rewards-enrolled orders.
- Reports → Custom with the Rewards member dimension.
This gives you enrollment counts, redemption counts, and the lift in average ticket attributable to enrolled guests.
