DineNGo-specific terms, in plain language.

Term Meaning
86 To mark an item temporarily unavailable. In DineNGo this is the Available? toggle on an item.
Bump To clear a ticket from the KDS once the items are prepared.
Channel Where an order came from — Kiosk, Cashier, Table, QR, Delivery. Shown on every order and used in reports.
Check A single guest or party's order. Used interchangeably with Order on the admin.
Clover The card-payments hardware and processor DineNGo integrates with.
Comp To remove an item's price from the check, with a recorded reason.
Drawer no-sale Opening the cash drawer without a transaction; logged and permission-gated.
KDS Kitchen Display System — the screen in the kitchen that shows incoming tickets.
Kiosk The self-order tablet at the front of the house.
Modifier A choice attached to an item — size, sauce, toppings — that may change the price.
Net sales Gross sales minus discounts, refunds, and voids.
Pi-helper printer An Epson TM-L90 or compatible printer driven by a small DineNGo Pi device that lets non-Clover printers receive tickets.
PIN A short numeric code each staff member uses on the cashier register, table device, or KDS.
Re-fire Sending a kitchen ticket back to the KDS when it was lost or bumped early. Does not re-print a customer receipt.
Reprint Reprinting a customer receipt. Does not fire to the kitchen.
Rewards device A paired tablet at the counter dedicated to enrolling guests in the loyalty program.
Shift A staff member's clock-in window. Tracked for labor reports and tip allocation.
Station A logical kitchen area (Hot Line, Salads, Drinks). Items are routed to one or more stations.
Table device A small Android tablet on the table that takes the guest's order.
Tender The method of payment — cash, card, Apple Pay, QR Pay, gift card.
Void Cancelling an order before it is paid. Different from a refund.
Z-report The end-of-shift cash and tender summary printed from the cashier register.
