Clover Integration
What you will learn: how to connect a Clover device to DineNGo so the kiosk, table device, and cashier register can accept card and Apple Pay.
What you need
- A Clover Mini, Flex, or Station device with an active Clover merchant account.
- The same Wi-Fi network as your DineNGo devices.
- Admin access to the Clover dashboard (clover.com) — needed once during authorization.
One-time authorization
- In the admin, open Settings → Payments → Clover.
- Click Connect Clover.
- The Clover authorization screen opens; sign in with your Clover merchant credentials.
- Review the permissions (DineNGo asks for Read orders, Write orders, and Process payments) and click Authorize.
- You return to DineNGo, now showing Clover: Connected.

Pair a Clover device
Each Clover terminal is registered separately so DineNGo knows which terminal belongs to which checkout lane.
- Settings → Payments → Clover → Devices.
- Click + Add Clover Device.
- Set a nickname — Clover – Front Counter, Clover – Patio Bar.
- The screen shows a pairing prompt; on the Clover device, open DineNGo Pay and confirm.
You will see the new terminal in the list with a green dot.
Assign the Clover device to a register
Each kiosk, cashier register, or table device that accepts cards must be assigned to a Clover terminal so it knows where to push the payment.
- Open Devices, click the register / kiosk / table you want.
- Under Payment terminal, pick the Clover device.
- Save.
A live card payment now routes from that register to that terminal.

What the customer sees
When the staff member (or the kiosk) hits Pay → Card:
- DineNGo pushes the total to the Clover terminal.
- The terminal prompts the customer to tap, insert, or swipe.
- After approval, the terminal sends success back to DineNGo.
- The order closes, the receipt prints, and the KDS continues normally.
Apple Pay, Google Pay, and contactless cards all work automatically — no extra config.
Tips
Open Settings → Payments → Tips:
- Default tip suggestions — three percentages shown on the Clover device (e.g. 15 / 18 / 20).
- Custom tip — toggle whether the customer can enter their own amount.
- No tip — toggle whether the No tip button appears.
Tips flow into payroll if you have set up tipped roles in 07-Staff-and-Roles.
Disconnecting
If you ever need to disconnect Clover entirely — Settings → Payments → Clover → Disconnect. All paired terminals unlink, and registers fall back to cash-only until you reconnect.
